Delete your mittiPaw account

Overview

You can delete your mittiPaw account and its associated app data at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account removes your account-linked information, subject to any lawful or operational retention described below.

Delete from inside the app

1. Open mittiPaw and sign in to your account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. In Profile, choose Delete account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm, then submit.

If you own a pet that other people access through Family Care, you may be asked to remove those members from the pet first, so their access is not unexpectedly disrupted.

If you cannot access the app

If you cannot access the app or have uninstalled it, contact support@mittipaw.com from the email address linked to your mittiPaw account and request account deletion.

What is deleted

Account deletion is intended to remove your account profile, pets you solely own and their health records and care notes, reminders, and uploaded or scanned documents associated with your account.

Pets shared through Family Care

If you own a pet shared with other Family Care members, that pet and its records cannot be deleted along with your account while those members still have active access. You will need to remove their access first through the in-app Family Care controls, so their access is not unexpectedly disrupted. If you are unable to resolve this in the app, contact support. If you were only a Family Care member (not the owner) of a pet, deleting your account removes your own membership and access; it does not delete the pet or affect the owner's data.

What may be temporarily retained

Some limited information may be retained for a period after deletion where required for legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.

Processing time

Deletion is initiated as soon as you confirm it in the app. Removing residual backup copies may take a reasonable additional period of time, unless a longer period is required by law or operational constraints.

Confirmation

The app asks you to type DELETE before it will submit the request, as a safeguard against accidental deletion. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once completed.
